Location and surrounding area

The University’s Peel Park Campus is situated on the banks of the River Irwell and is located just over a mile to the west of Manchester’s cosmopolitan city centre. Its location, close to an extensive network of roads and railways, makes it ideal for travel from all parts of the country.

Manchester International Airport is less than 15 miles from the campus with a direct rail link to Salford Crescent Railway Station. This is a main line station with services from Scotland, Blackpool and the Lancashire Coast. Derbyshire and the Peak District as well as Manchester City Centre, only 5 minutes away. Some of the most beautiful countryside in Britain is within easy reach of Salford. The Peak District, Yorkshire Dales, Lake District and sandy beaches and mountains of North Wales are all less than two hours away by road.
